“As a child always inspired to make clothing. On the sewing machine. And at a certain age I wanted to add sweaters to my portfolio. There I started to work on my knitting skills.”
What technique did you use for your regional wool project?
Drafting a pattern, and the creation to make a basked weaving knitting patterns which is a combination of knits, purls, yarn overs and combining stitches
Did you try out a new technique while making your project? And would you use it again?
Recreate a design on an inspiring image
Can you write a short summary of your project?
Since there was a short time to craft the complete project, my inspiration was to use the base material as a canvas, and use the stitch definition to show the material.
How many hours did it take you to compete?
Around 60 I expect, but it is not finished yet
What was the inspiration for your project?
Show the stitch definition in a relatively easie design.
What did you discover from using regional wool in your project?
The texture of the local sheep. While working on the cardigan, is still smells sheepy
What were the trial and error of the project?
Probably some pasts have to be redone, since it is pending on the fit. And the button band is always a trial and error to look good.
Do you have any tips for people who want to work with wool in their own projects? And why would you recommend it?
Just start, and make running hours. Accept that you have successful projects, and you can frog a project if the outcome is not what you intended.
