Meet the Repair Crew

  • Available on Monday and Thursday from 10:00-16:00

Ties Verhalle is a young and creative fashion design student studying in fashion design in Yonder, Tilburg. With a strong focus on upcycling garments his work revolves around transforming existing pieces into new designs, giving materials a second life through experimentation and reconstruction.

He works with alternative materials, incorporating unexpected elements such as car seat belts into garments and accessories. He is drawn to unconventional textures and structures, exploring how industrial materials can merge with fashion.

His aesthetic is often raw and deconstructed. He is inspired by a “damaged” or distressed approach to upcycling, where imperfection becomes a statement.

  • Available on Thursday from 10:00-16:00

You can often find Jakub in the lab developing his designs, helping others with patterns and constructions or throwing a t-shirt tuning workshop.

Jakub has a master’s degree in product design, which translates a lot to how he sees clothes - featureful, yet simple pieces that you want to use everyday.

All his skills are self-taught, all his experience comes from a lot of mistakes that he made on the way. Jakub takes quite an anti-fashion approach to what he does, which puts him on the same wavelength with the philosophy of NOOF.

Natural materials, creating durable products that will last you for long time and ocassional zero waste approach are some of the sustainable aspects Jakub uses in his practice.

  • Available on appointment from 10:00-16:00

Stine Nordsveen is a designer with a focus on garments, textiles, and circularity. Her journey began as a teenager, reworking clothes to create pieces that felt personal as a response to never quite finding herself reflected in commercial clothing stores.

She later studied at the Copenhagen Academy of Fashion Design and went on to work in luxury fashion, alongside doing alterations and repairs for private clients. This combination of craftsmanship and hands-on repair work has shaped her meticulous eye and deep respect for construction, material, and fit.

Stine approaches every garment with curiosity. Whether through traditional mending or more unconventional repair techniques, she believes in restoring both function and character. At the core of her practice is a commitment to recognizing the potential in every garment, extending its life as a small yet meaningful act of care for the planet.

  • Available on Monday from 10:00-16:00

Madelon Hendrix is a passionate designer who lovingly brings vintage designer clothes back to life, both by hand and with the sewing machine. Her journey began during her studies in International Fashion Design, where she launched her own brand, MADRIX, focused on upcycling clothes in 2023.

Besides her work at our New Order of Fashion Lab, she’s also a sewist in a disability daycare, applying her skills in a meaningful way.

Most weekends, you’ll find Madelon at Club Switch in her hometown of Helden, where she connects with different artists and often has the chance to give away one of her upcycled pieces.

  • Available on Monday and Tuesday from 10:00-16:00

A key aspect of Kornel’s approach is his dedication to craftsmanship, which plays a central role in his creative process. He employs traditional techniques and meticulous attention to detail, merging artisanal skills with contemporary ideas.

Through his work, Kornel creates a unique dialogue between past and present, tradition and innovation, resulting in pieces that are not only visually compelling but also rich in cultural narrative. His ability to integrate these diverse influences allows him to produce work that resonates on multiple levels, celebrating the beauty of craftsmanship while offering insight into the complexities of cultural exchange.
