Ice Dye Workshop

Delve into the world of the experimental dyer and discover the unpredictable beauty of colour through ice, temperature and natural pigments. In this hands-on workshop, we will explore ice-dyeing techniques using botanical colours and lake pigments, experimenting with melting ice to create soft, unexpected watercolour-like blends. Working slowly and intuitively, participants will discover how temperature, moisture and natural materials interact to create unique colour effects.

For the workshop, we will work with yarns sourced from local Kempen sheep, connecting the experimental process of dyeing with the landscape and materials of the region. All materials are provided, and no previous experience is required. Come experiment, play with colour and discover where the process takes you.
