Needle Punching Machine Workshop
From Textile Scraps to a New Skin
Breathe new life into discarded clothing and fabric scraps – intuitively, creatively, and sustainably. In this workshop, you’ll explore the punch technique (machine needle felting) as a playful and hands-on way to transform textiles. By layering and felting fabrics together, a new ‘skin’ emerges: richly textured, tactile, and full of stories.
Bring your own worn garments, leftover textiles, or cherished fabric pieces – or choose freely from materials provided on-site. Your creation might become a striking appliqué on clothing or an accessory, a visible mending patch that celebrates imperfection, or a piece of textile memory work where personal history is literally woven in.
For whom: anyone curious to experiment with textiles – no prior experience needed.
Bring: old clothing, scraps, or meaningful fabrics you’d like to reuse or transform.
Take home: a unique textile piece – expressive, personal, and full of potential for upcycling.
Date: 4th July
Duration: 2.5 hours (16:00-18:30)
Location: NOOF LAB
Instructor: Marian Verdonk
Costs: €36.20
English/Dutch
