Botanical Dying Workshop - Urban Foraging

from €35.00

This workshop invites you to look at “weeds” and street-side trees in a new light—not as waste, but as resources for creative expression and connection to place. Join us for a hands-on workshop where we combine botanical dyeing with urban foraging, harvesting local “weeds” and wild plants for their natural pigments for fabric and fibre.

Forage together in the green pockets around Strip-S and discover how to identify, respectfully harvest, and prepare urban plants for dyeing. After going out we will create natural dye bath from our foraged materials and experiment with dyeing wool, observing the unique tones and textures each plant produces. Learn about mordants, fibre preparation, and sustainable dyeing methods from expert dyer Karin Waag.
